Our school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
At St. Nicholas C.E. Infants’ School & FSU we uphold and nurture our Christian ethos by encouraging the following six distinctively Christian values:
Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin teaching and learning and provide an environment which prepares our pupils, helping them to become the best they can be.
As part of our Christian ethos we aim to develop spirituality. At St Nicholas we develop spirituality as a personal engagement with someone or something beyond ourselves from which grows a set of beliefs and values that give meaning to our lives.
We have enjoyed celebrating our Harvest Festival. As well as some lovely contributions from the children, we finished off our celebration with a 'Harvest Lucky Dip' that Revd. Rice brought along. We thought about being thankful for everything we have. Thank you to everyone for their generosity, we have a fantastic amount of food to donate to the foodbank and it was great that so many of you were able to join in with our celebration.
Here are our Harvest gifts. Kaela Willers in Kingfisher Class has drawn them as part of Year One's observational drawing work.
St. Mary's Church is located in the market place in Wallingford. This is where we attend church services three times a year. We are always welcome at their family services. Take a look at their website for more information.
