Our breakfast club operates from 8.00am to 8.50am, Monday to Friday, and is offered exclusively to children of this school in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 on a first-come, first-served basis.
The cost per child per day for the club is £3.50 if booked in advance. Ad-hoc or short notice emergency slots may be available (subject to availability) at a cost of £4.50 per child per day and must be booked by telephoning the school office no later than 3.30pm the day before.
Children are given breakfast (typically a selection of cereals, toast, fruit juice and milk) and will then have the opportunity to enjoy reading, games, jigsaws and other activities. The club is staffed by Mrs Rush and Mrs Cox and overseen by Miss King.
Please note that breakfast is served between 8.00am and 8.20am.
If you would like to book regular slots for your child/children at the Breakfast Club please complete a booking form and return it to the school office together with the correct payment (cheques payable to OCC please). We are also able to accept payment via various childcare voucher schemes. Please talk to the school office for further information. You will be asked to complete a registration form which should be returned prior to your child’s first session.
We run a range of fun and engaging clubs to enhance our curriculum. Here are some examples of clubs we are running:
Choir Story Sacks Let's Get Messy
Athletics Dance Art
Due to the fundraising efforts of FONS and contributions from our Sports Premium, most of our clubs are free of charge.
Clubs run after school and are offered for 30 weeks per academic year, usually for five weeks before and after every half-term break. Every full term parents are offered choices and the school select the children to ensure fairness. We encourage parents to make the choice with their child; they are not a childcare substitute and, since we carry large waiting lists, places are re-allocated for non-attendance and repeated late collection.
Please note, not all clubs are available for all age ranges and some may have a small charge. Please see the latest club booklet for details on what's on offer this term.
Fir Tree Junior School run an After School club. This is open to children of St Nicholas CE Infants' School and there is a Walking Bus from St Nicholas to the club.
The club is open to pupils from Reception to Year 2 in St Nicholas CE Infants' School and Fir Tree Junior School. The sessions run from 3.15 - 5.30pm.
