School Council

The School Council are Reception, Year One and Two children, elected by children to serve the children within their school.  They have a very important job to do including choosing the yearly local, national and international charity and arranging activities, such as the toy sale, to fund this very important work.  They assist with charity money collection. During the last few years the council were consulted on a range of issues affecting them such as the mural undertaken by Wallingford School Sixth Form Students.  They are encouraged to listen to their peers and bring any issues to a weekly meeting.

Last week the School Councillors were thinking about how we can help encourage people to park considerately and safely during school drop off and pick up times. They decided with a little help that we should design some posters which we could display along St Nicholas Road.

I asked them to try and design a poster over the coming week and already this morning I've had two keen councilors who have been busy designing over the weekend! Well done! Over the next couple of weeks keep a look out for their parking posters.
