Mental Health includes our emotional, psychological and social well being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. Mental Health is important in every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence, through adulthood.
Mental Health Awareness Week is hosted by the 'Mental Health Foundation' and this year the theme is KINDNESS.
Kindness strengthens relationships, develops community and is something all human beings need to experience and practise good mental health.
Kindness has proven to reduce stress and can improve confidence and optimism.
Kindness has benefits for both the giver and the receiver.
